This Anzac Day I will be attending dawn services at Roxburgh and Millers Flat and later the civic service at Alexandra. I recall last year parading through Waimate with your district's veterans, service people and citizens after a service that also acknowledged our country's First World War commemorations would soon start.

I'm fully supportive of Aoraki Polytechnic's move to open a learning hub in Waimate with a view to deliver access to the NZ Diploma in Agribusiness Management.  Aoraki has a good track record of reaching out to smaller population centres.
