Fashion fund-raiser a real community effort
Waitaki MP Jacqui Dean said she was pleased to have supported the Trelise Cooper Wanaka fashion show which has successfully raised over $40,000 for the Upper Clutha Hospice Trust.
“The Trelise Cooper Theatre of Fashion was a spectacular show at the Glendhu Station Woolshed, where more than 600 people enjoyed the event.
“What a wonderful fund-raising event and what a fantastic community effort to bring together such an out-standing display of fashion and all for such a worthy cause.
“Special congratulations must go to organiser Lucy Lucas and her team of volunteers for bringing this show together.
“And how appropriate that this event, which so successfully raised funds for the Upper Clutha Hospice Trust’s new Palliative & Respite Care Suite, has done so in the very week that earthworks on the new facility are set to start.”
