Waitaki MP and Chairperson of The New Zealand Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Jacqui Dean says nominations for the Commonwealth Youth Parliament 2015, in Darwin, are open.

"This is an incredible opportunity for one or two ambitious young Kiwis to witness democracy in action. The Youth Parliament is a great forum, bringing together youth from across the Commonwealth to meet and give their fresh and innovated perspectives on global issue," Mrs Dean said.

The New Zealand Branch of the CPA is seeking expressions of interest from young New Zealanders who are interested in representing New Zealand at the 7th Commonwealth Youth Parliament in Darwin, Australia from 1 to 5 November 2015.

"We're looking for New Zealanders between the ages of 18 and 29, who have demonstrated strong leadership skills and who have a keen interest in the Commonwealth and in the workings of Parliament.

"I encourage those interested to apply and hope others will also encourage those up and coming leaders to put their hand up."

For more information and to complete the application, please email expressions of interest to and attach your CV and a short covering letter explaining why you would like this opportunity.
